Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

in 2003 I accedently left my son in the car alone while I shopped for grocereies for 30 minutes (he is ok) I was charged with child neglect and i had it witheld judication of guilt ( child neglect is a felony)

in 2005 the law changed and it now is a non criminal traffic infraction for leaving a child under the age of 6 in a car alone

is it possible to get my case dropped or changed so i am no longer a Felon?

I believe you are incorrect. It was a non-criminal traffic infraction in 2003. That still would not preclude the state from filing child neglect charges. Today, leaving a kid in your car is at least a 2nd degree misdemeanor, no longer a traffic infraction.
