Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

In 2001, I had a check bounce for $11 from a retail company, in indiana. I went to the retail company to pay for the amount due and they told me that it was already submitted to court. So, in the process of moving to Illinois, I missed my court date. I then received a letter in the mail in Illinois, july 2002. Stating that they was a warrant out for my arrest. I immediately went to that county, went to a bails bondsmen and paid the fine. We went to the jail directly across the street and I turned myself in. After doing so, they took my fingerprints and photo. My question is, it has now been over ten years and being a misdemeanor, how do I know if it has been expunged from my record? Do I do a background check on myself?
