what does affirmed per curiam affirmed mean

It is latin and it means "by the court". It basically means the whole court wrote that opinion as opposed to one judge. It also sometimes is used as a brief announcement of the disposition of a case by the appellate court and such disposition is not accompanied by a written opinion. I hope this information is helpful.
