Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

arrested in one city with a warrant in another

arrested in one county Palm Beach, Bond was set at 3,ooo but since there is a warrant in Broward they are saying not to post it because Broward will be picking him up. I have been informed broward will not come get him until everything has been settled in palm beach which could take months. is this true can you be held in one county because of a warrant in another? Or should bail be posted in West palm and then surrender in Broward. How do you find out what the warant is for and if there is a bond amount for this that can be paid in palm Beach?

This is a common problem. If you post the PB bond he wont be released if Broward has a hold. Broward will wait till PB is resolved. A lawyer can make things move more quickly. Please call if I cqan be of help.

Don't post the bond. Regarding your question of "what the warrant is for and if there is a bond amount" I can check that for you.
