Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I'm being charged with domestic violence against my husband. We were having marital issues for a while and during a argument and i was very drunk and lost control, i bit him leaving bruises. The police showed up and i said that i did all that. i went arrested and had my first appearance which i agreed no have any contact with him until the court date. My husband is trying to drop the charges at the state attorney. what else can we do to before the trial?

The most important thing you can do is get an attorney.

The state of Florida decides whether to pursue charges. Not your husband. As a result, the State may, depending on the evidence, pursue charges against you regardless of your husband's wishes.

Meet with a local criminal defense attorney who can review the evidence against you and negotiate with the State to dismiss the charges.
