If i was given a court date and not told can they issue a capias for me not showing up even though i had no knowledge of the court date

They can issue a capias for not showing up. However, if you never got notice of the court date, most judges will withdraw the capias. You need to get an attorney to go to court and fight this for you and get the capias withdrawn as soon as possible.
