Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Double jeapordy

Is it double jeapordy when the court dismissed a charge then two days later places a $5000 bond on the case that was dismissed, then sentence you to jail on the dismissed charge?

Re: Double jeapordy

Sounds like something strange is going on with the case, I would be glad to take a look and see what I could do to help.

I have an office in Fort Myers and have quite a few cases in Naples.

Take care,

Re: Double jeapordy

Jeopardy only attaches once a jury has been sworn, so it is likely not double jeopardy. However, there is likely more to the story. I would be interested in getting more details from you.

If you would like to discuss the situation further, and you do not already have an attorney, please do not hesitate to contact me.
