Is that enought to charge someone

In the process of lewd, lascivious molestation. my boyfriend was accused by someone he knows, but he didnt do nothing. If the police are took you down too the police station and they say, the police said you can leave anytime you want. are they sposted to say that? The only edvance they have is the report? Is that enought edvance to charge someone.

If you are asked to voluntarily appear at a police station, you are also free to leave and not required to give a statement. It depends on what is contained in the police report as to whether there is sufficient information to make an arrest or file a charge
