Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Evidence and time limitations

The police say that my husband has been arrested for something that I cannot find any evidence of. I have been to the court and police to try and find this arrest report and cannot find one. The only arrest report I can find was an arrest for something completely different but the matter that they say he was arrested for is only mentioned in the narratives section of the arrest report and not in the offenses section of the arrest report. How can the police say they have arrested someone for something if that person has not been arrested or questioned about the matter in question? How long can they keep hearsay and unproven evidence on record?

Re: Evidence and time limitations

Its hard to undertsand your question. It doesnt really matter what the police say. The State decides when and if to file charges, then a judge reviews it. A person can be arrested after the report is filed or never at all.
