my friend has a charge of domestic violence (misdemenor) but has not gone to trail, it now say ammended discovery response rule 3.220 what does that mean? can he do jail time for that?

An amended discovery response under rule 3.220 well means that the prosecution has sent him or his lawyer more information about the case. Yes, he can do jail time for domestic violence.
