Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
my grand son has a son with his girlfriend.The girlfriend has been living with a boy for over a year.We know that the boyfriend has been abusing our great grandson.He has had a broken leg, bruised ribs,all of his hair pulled out and bruises in his ear.The child told me that the boy did these things to him.My grandson took him to a doctor with his girlfriend and her mother.The doctor referred the baby to a phycistist(sic).The girlfriends mother caused a situation at the doctors that ended with my grandson being arrested.He got back the right to see his son two weeks ago.She was court ordered to bring the child to spend every other weekend.She failed to bring him this weekend and we could not reach her.My grandson followed all rules and called the local police deptment there to go out and do a check on my greatgrandson while my grandson waited elsewhere.The bottom line is she told the police that my grandson raped his son and stuffed a washcloth in his mout to keep him from screaming.My god they have sunk to a new low.What can my grandson do.Please tell us how to handle this?

The best thing to do is call and follow up with the police. Your grandson has a right not to be abused by anyone. You should also contact DCF to protect him as well. Good luck.
Your grandson is being set up for a very serious criminal charge. He should probably not see his son without someone else there. I suggest he contact the police about the abuse his son received while living with the mother and the other guy. I hope the abuse was documented. Your grandson also needs to contact DCF. I am surprised the previous abuse was not reported by the doctors. Your son should also contact and consult with an attorney before talking to the police. Good luck with all this.
