Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

hit and run-aggravated battery

A friend of mine was in a local bar near her house, when a woman she knows and who has given her many reasons to believe that she was hated by her attacked her in the bathroom. She was beaten bad enough to have lost hair from being pulled, had a severe headache from having her head beaten against the wall and multiple contusions on her body. She left the bar, got in her car and was cooling down outside the adjacent convenience store when her assailant was walking directly in front, but several feet away, of her vehicle. Without any rational thought, she struck her with her car, left the scene and checked into a hotel. she has yet to report to police and is in an alcohol rehab program. The charge on the police report is Aggravated Battery. Please offer whatever advice you can and possibly refer me to a qualified attorny-thanks
