Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My husband and I had an argument and he turned crazy cornering me and holding me really hard making bruises in my arms and throwing me on the floor, causing bruises in my legs. I cried for help and he finally let me go. iI called the police and he was taken to jail, he had a clean record and he was never in trouble before, I hate to see him had a messy record, but he was aggresive. Should I press charges? if I don't what would happen? By the way, after he left jail, he filed a restraing order against me.

I'm afraid that no one can answer that question except you. If you don't press charges, he could continue to be violent. However, since he has now filed a restraining order against you, that will severely affect your rights. You should seek counsel for that injunction and they may be able to better advise you on pressing charges.
