Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My 16 year old daughter was with her boyfriend at Claire's department store. She boyfriend was caught stealing a $8.00 bracelet, she was completely unaware he did this until the Mall security arrested him, she was not arrested only giving Trespass Warning. He was arrested. We just recived notice from Claire's legal team to pay $200. claim under Fl Statutes Section 772.11. Her boyfreind that was arrested recived the same letter...he did paid the $200.00. Should we pay this??
