There's are very serious charges and he very well could face actual prison time. The possession with intent charge is a second degree felony by up to 15 years in prison. If the State wants to file the firearm charge then the sentence could be a lot higher. He seriously needs a criminal defense attorney. The fact that this is a first offense is very good for him. He needs a lawyer who will thoroughly examine all of the evidence and all possible defenses.
