Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

legal question

I was a manager of a 7-11 and on 11-01-04 a bank deposit was short some cash, the deposit is dropped into a night box. I so happens on 11-04-2004 I was dismissed from the company. Now they have the police calling me asking me to take a polygraph test.I have told them no due to the fact I do not believe in them. They require us to drop the deposits, in a night drop box. What do I do? I did not take this cash, should I talk to the police they have called me back and said they would like to talk to me. Should I have a lawyer present?

Re: legal question

You should retain an attorney immediately if you are being looked at as a suspect. I cannot give you advice except to say that it is not a good idea to speak to the authorities w/out an attorney. Your answers to their questions CAN AND WILL be used against you later, even should you think those questions or answers to be innocent in nature. If you give statements or polygraphs w/out consulting an attorney who is in possession of all the facts relating to your situation you are placing yourself in danger. You may discuss this situation w/me by calling (954)478-9048 Monday thru Sunday 9-7. I have handled prefiling investigations in similar related financial matters including short deposits and alleged investor fraud.

Re: legal question

You need to hire a criminal defense attorney immediately. You should not speak with the police or anyone else- unless your attorney tells you to. Valerie Masters (561) 659-9410
