Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Restitution

In 1998 I was ordered to repay $50,000 and assigned 20 years probation. I now owe approximately $25,000 and have 11 years probation remaining to pay it off. In my orders it states I can have probation terminated if restitution is paid in full. Can an offer be made to the party receiving restitution to payoff the amount at a lesser total. If yes, and the party agrees, would the courts allow this and allow probation to terminate if the party is satisfied with their restitution?

Re: Restitution

Maybe...do not contact the party directly for a whole bunch of reasons, most of which you already know I'm sure. You need to retain a lawyer to help you with this. I don't see any reason why a judge wouldn't approve an early term. What county are you in? I can probably handle this for you.
