Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

restitution paid to whom?

Unknown License lapse resulted in insurance fraud. Ordered to pay restitution of 72,000 thru the PTI program to 3 insurance companies.

This is to be paid in full when place of business sells. It has sold. It is not stipulated in the PTI contract how/where to pay restitution. Do I send $ to these ins. companies and get receipt as paid in full and submit to clerk of court?

Our lawyer has bowed out of being council for us. At this point cant afford going thru attys again.

Had already started to pay one ins. co. back. before restitution ordered so total amount of restitution has changed. This is acknowledged in writing by the ins. co.

Do I pay ins. co.s corrected amt. then file pd. in full receipts to clerk of courts without any future problems.

What a system!

Thanks for response.

Re: restitution paid to whom?

I dont understand the question. Pay thru pti means you bring the payment to your pti officer once a month.
