Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

sentencing guidelines

I have a mental illness inwhich during extreme stress or manic phases I over spend without regard to moneies availabe of validity of the check. After the phase is over and realization hits I panic and don't know what to do. I have just in the past 2 yrs been diagnosed with this problem but the issue with the checks and credit cards has gone on for along time before finding out of my medical condition plus I have a physical condition which keeps me in chronic pain. now I have completed all terms of probation but still must go to court for two outstanding checks inwhich the merchandise has been returned in same fashion I recieved it. Problem is I have 41 points w/o the conviction of the 2 outstanding checks what options do I have that I can bring up in court

Re: sentencing guidelines

You need a good lawyer. If I understand the problem, you are on probation, and facing a violation because of 2 bad checks for which the charges are still unresolved. You score 41 points without considering the new violations.

Prison is a real possibility -- maybe probibility. You don't want to try to handle this yourself. Get a good lawyer and don't pay him by check. Then close your checking account. It's possible to survive without a checking account.
