how much time can a person get on these charges

A friend of mine has been convcted of attempted felony murder and robbery gun/deadly weapon. He was to have brought the other two accomplices with him in his car to his home town. The shooter in this case did not get anytime the other guy got eight years and is now out. My friend who tried to stop the shooter and was also mentioned by the victim the he did not do this but was convicted and sentenced to 60 yrs. his attorney did not put up a fight. What can be done.

You are asking two different questions here. How much time can he get? Life. All that can be done is an appeal and after that there are post conviction relief options.
