unprotected fire scene after arson investigation

what rules must be followed to protect the inventory after a residential fire in order toprotect the homeowner from a false insurance fraud charge in case inventory was stolen or mistaken after the one evening fire investigation?

This is not as much a legal question as it is a insurance question. If it was me, I would video tape the contents of the house after the fire and take still photos. Prepare all reciepts and documents correseponding with those items. I often tell my clients the more information and documentation you have the better.
