Violation of a Final Judgment Order of Protection

I was issused an order of protection against my ex and he came into my work while I wasn't there. I violated him. Is that just cause for violation? And what could the sentence be for him if found guilty?

Violating an injunction is a 1st degree misdemeanor punishable by up to one year jail.
