weekend jail and work release

my boy friend is in jail for cocaine posstion with the intent to sell and for driving on a sup. lic. habitual offender. he pleaded out his release date is april 26, 2005, he went in sep. 2, 2005. my question is can he serve his time on the weekend so he can work or can he do a work release program, where he could work mon.-fri. during the day at his job he had before? if so how do i go about doing this. we have 7 kids between us and now i'm working 85 hours a week tring to make ends meet. please help

It really depends on the procedures and policy of your local jail. In my county of Palm Beach he may be able to get work release which means he could work during the day and sleep at the jail. He would not be granted weekends because it would take years to serve 7 months on weekends. House arrest would probably have to be approved by the prosecutor. I would call the work release program at yuour jail to see if he qualifies and what the procedure is.
