Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Florida

defamation of character

I recently left a job that I knew was

going to be closing. Never having a

problem and always performing

above and beyond my job title, I

found out that my boss has been

accusing me of embezzling money. I

have done nothing of the sort and

am shocked and offended by this

news. There has been little

investigation into that accusation.

My question is should I hire an

attorney and sue for defamation of

character when I know that I have

done nothing wrong?

Re: defamation of character

You may have a strong lawsuit assuming the accusations are completely untrue. My firm has handled these matters in the past. Please email me at [email protected] and let me know your location and the name of the employer.

Thanks.
