Re: Engagement Agreement

Hello: I just read your question. For a contract to be binding, among certain other requirements, it must be signed by both parties. I was wondering why you are concerned about whether or not you are bound to this contract. If it is because you aren't satisfied with the atty., you can always fire an atty. and use another one.

If it is because you owe the atty. money, the contract is not the only thing that obligates you to pay. In other words, if the work was done, the client is obligated to pay, similar to an oral agreement.

'Hope this helps. Topm Rosenblum, Jacksonville.
