Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

Restricted License

I have been convicted of DUI and am driving on a restricted license in Virginia. We are planning a vacation to Florida. Does the Virginia restriction apply when driving in other states or in Florida?

Re: Restricted License

If you are a Virginia license holder and you are carrying the green restricted driver's license form, you are allowed to drive under the terms of that license (even in Florida). However, I know of no restricted license which allows you to drive during a vacation. Please make certain that the parameters of your restricted license include such leisure driving. Otherwise, you will be driving without a license (most likely charge) in Florida and driving on a suspended license in Virginia.
