Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Florida

FYSA State Cup Competition (Soccer)

My son was accidentally left off of the final roster for playing in this tournament. They have a roster freeze 12 days prior to the first round of competition. No changes can be made to the roster after the freeze or the team is disqualified. He played all season with this team but was rostered with an older group due to his age group having 18 kids already. He was dropped from the older roster but did not get added to his correct age group by the registrar. Now he is ineligible to play at all. They advanced through the first round this past weekend. I just think this is pretty harsh punishment for a 13 year old kid who depends on other adults to make sure the roster is correct. FYSA does not think so. Do you think there is anything that can be done for him to be eligible to play in the second round in the middle of April?

Nope, nothing to be done that would merit lawyers getting involved. Good lesson for him to learn that not everything in life merits a lawsuit even if it "ain't fair."
