I am a 17 year old female who would like to move out of my fathers house but do not know if its legal. i have a place to go have a job and will still be going to school.

You should apply for emancipation - as long as you can show that you are able to support yourself. Otherwise I suggest you talk things over with your father and see if perhaps living with another relative might be the answer.
