Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Going back to my maiden name in Florida State

My husband died 1999 and I really like to go back to my maiden name. I have got his death certificate , our marriage certificate and my birthcertificate is notarized and ready to go to the drivers license department soon. So, this will be enough or do I need to do other preparation?

You need to file a petition for name change. The forms are available online for free, or you can probably purchase them fairly cheaply from your clerk's office. Most clerk's offices have instructions online as to how to complete the procedure. For instance, you'll have to pay a filing fee and file fingerprints with your paperwork.

If you need help, almost any family lawyer will be able to help you.
