Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child custody

I am having serious problems seeing my children? I can see them only for limited amount of time or only the mother is around. I basically have no legal rights to my children. I must attend court this month and I can not afford a lawyer, how can I obtain a public defender or can I have a public defender in my circumstance.

Re: child custody

Unless this is a criminal matter a Public Defender cannot become involved. You may be eligible for an attorney provided by the county Legal Aid system. I would recommend you contact the County Bar Association immediately for a referral. You may also contcat a younger attorney. In my area young attorneys are willingt to take cases for lesser fees in order to gain experience. Good luck.
