Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child custody

I have been in a relationship for 2 years that has resulted in a child together. I would like to leave the relationship and move back home where I lived before I went to school. I am a fulltime student. Can he make me live in the same county as he or can I leave and move back home. I only want him to have limited visitation....he has anger issues and a criminal past .I do not! Does he have a fighting chance?

Thank you

Re: child custody

Florida law is very strict about relocating a child away from another parent. If the other parent won't agree, there is a very specific procedure for obtaining permission from a judge, and permission is rarely granted. You need to speak with a custody lawyer. On your side, however, the father's past and his anger issues will certainly help your case.
