child support modification

if a father is ordered to pay childsupport and does not make full payments and miss payments and it has not been a complete year since the childsupport order, can he have a modification done

Child support can always be modified so long as there is a "substantial change of circumstances," which pretty much means that either party's income has gone up or done by more than 15%.

Thank you for your question. In Florida, generally to modify child support, you must file a Supplemental Petition to Modify Child Support.

If you have a change in your regular income and as a result it has decreased, then you may be able to file such a petition.
