Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Divorce

How can i file for a divorce on a spouse that I have not lived with in over five years and has not had contact with me after receiving SSI and failing to fulfill his duties towards minor child that we had with a written agreement signed and dated by both of us. He lives in Missouri now last I heard. I am still in Fl in the county we were married in.

Re: Divorce

You file your divorce in the county in which you live (and where you last lived together as husband and wife) and have him served at his address. If what you signed was a settlement agreement, you file that, too. If not, you'll be asking for two years of back child support as well as ongoing child support, if that applies.
