Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Is it as easy as it sounds? Can I really get custody of my sons by default and if so how long does the default judgement take before i can pick them up?

My ex was served on the 18th of last month today is the 21 day and she has not responded. Will i really get my kids after filing the default papers. How long does that take to be in affect? I really excited. I cant beleave it could be this easy whats the catch?

Hi. Assuming all goes well and you get a default, there still will be a number of steps you may need to go through to enforce the order or judgment if your ex doesn't willingly comply. It will not be as simple as going over there and picking them up.
