Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Ex-spouse still using my SS#.

Is it legal for my ex-wife to take my daughter to the doctor, submit my insurance card (which is fine) and then put my name and SS# down as the responsible party? She is doing this and having the bills sent to her address. Now I have 9 derogatory accounts on my credit report that I knew nothing about. We are supposed to share the healthcare costs 50/50. Is what she has done legal or is it considered Identity theft. We are now trying to settle two identity theft issues which she blatently lied and provided my ss# to obtain power and cable and stuck me with overdue bills. I just want to know if I can dispute all of these doctor bills or do I not have a leg to stand on?? thanks!

The Florida identity theft statute makes it a crime to wilfully use another's social security number without their consent. She's violated the statute. The bills should not be on your credit, though, of course, you will untimately be liable for 50% of them.
