can the plaintiff's attorney depose the defendant's attorney for information against defendant?

Generally, all discussions between an attorney and the client come under the attorney -client privilege which is where the attorney is not allowed to disclose information unless the Client allows such disclosure. There are exceptions to this rule and this privilege is for discussions not necessarily paper work (which may be covered under the attorney work product privilege.) The privilege also may be deemed waived by the client in certain instances where there is a dispute between the attorney and the client but only as to the area of complaint.
