I am a single mother of a 5 year old boy, his father and I are separated, living together, never married. I have 3 jobs but low income, his dad is not employed but have some occasional income thru his real estate business.. I am trying to move out but facing hard times trying to rent or buy due to low income. Father wants 50/50 custody. Am I eligible for child support?

Yes. If not married to the father then you get full custody.
