Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Does filing an acknowledgement of paternity (claim of paternity) give the same legal standing as filing a suit for paternity would? From what I understand both have the same results, filing a suit is used when their is a disagreement on paternity. I have already signed the birth certificate and trying to establish paternity.

No black/white answer for you. That is sufficient IF the Mother does not object and says Dad might be someone else. Then a formal paternity test should be ordered by the court.
