Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Need Help Guaranteeing Retention of Health Insurance After Divorce

On August 16 I was served with a divorce summons by husband whom (separated since June 2000) I have 20 days to file a written response. The papers were filed by a paralegal. After a brief conversation, it became apparent he was not willing to add paragraph stating health insurance would be maintained after divorce but did indicate coverage until end of the year.I have quite a few health issues and am in the middle of monthly treatment/tests.Some of these problems stem directly from injury sustained from my husband 1988 before he went into AA/treatment for anger management(including medication). The majority of marriage, I stayed in the home/maintained household.I have no formal schooling but worked in administration/sales sporadically since separation. (however, due to severe carpal tunnel/ ailments, cannot continue this work) After separation, husband agreed to $350 month but when he met current girlfriend in 2001, cut me off suddenly and without explanation. All communications ceased and he became rather hostile/remote.Need consult with an attorney that can be empathetic and help me with response in due time. Also considering request for spousal support.
