Husband served me divorce papers. I am applying for disability which will grant me permanent alimony. I can't afford to retain a lawyer since I don't work. What are my options?

don't bet your future on Social Security disability!!!!! The Feds are the least reliable of all sources of long term disability, Also you are reviewed for continuing disability every three years. Get an attorney if you are seeking alimony.
