Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex husband and I have shared custody. He has primary residential custody and I have visitation. He does not have me on the contact list at my kids school. My kids are 16 and 17 years old. My 17 year old will be 18 in 4 months and wants to come live with me but the school tells me even if he comes to live with me I have to have legal guardianship over him to be put on the contact list. Actually they both want to live with me but are afraid to ask their dad. What do I do to get on the contact list and once my son is 18 how do I get legal guardianship of him for his school?

Your son can ask them when he turns 18. If they refuse, a lawyers letter should suffice.

As part of co-parenting your ex is required to add you as a contact at the school. If he will not then file a motion for contempt.
