Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

We have been married for 8 years ..My husband has bad credit but my credit is excellent. And for this reason we have always put things (cars, credit cards, bills etc.) in my name only and also claim tax refund separately. My husband now just got a credit card in his name only .. My question is if the cc becomes past due, will I be responsible? Also he will start small business in his name only ... if he doesn't pay taxes on time, will I be responsible? We live in Florida.. thank you

Debt that is incurred during a marriage, no matter who's name it is in, is marital and deemed the responsibilty of both husband and wife, from a family law point of view, this would include credit card debt and tax debt. However, if your Husband has a credit card in his name alone and does not pay it, then the credit card company could only sue him, if he does not pay it, and not yo also. This would be the same with a business in his name alone, any debt the business obtains from a third party, the third party could only sue your husband or the business for the debt (if the business is incorporated, the only the business).
