Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

taking the father's name of the birth certif.

My son's father keeps saying that he wants nothing to do with my son and that he wants his name of the birth certificate. But then he refuses to get his name off. He says this stuff to make me made. He says that he will do it if it means he won't have to talk to me anymore. Is there a way that i can take his name off the birth certif. I even have the text messages with him saying that is what he wants to do. He doesnt pay child support and he sees his son maybe 2 days a month. What can I do?
