Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Temporary Custody

My brother in law is asking me and my wife to take temporary custody of his daughter, however the maternal grandparents currently have custody of the child since the mother is deceased. They don't want our family involved in the childs life and oppose any attemps that we make to keep in touch with the child. What can we do?

Re: Temporary Custody

It's up to your brother-in-law. Absent court order or DCF involvment, he is the parent and therefore has the right to decide where his child stays and with whom.
