Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

vacations during visitation

My youngest daughter is on a summer break with her father in florida. He has allowed his wife to take our 6 year old daughter to Michigan for two weeks before returning her home to MD. Is it legal for him to do this without my consent?

If your custody order doesn't prohibit it, yes. If you have a problem with it and you can't work it out with the father, you will have to seek advice of a local attorney and take the issue to court.

Re: vacations during visitation

Once your x-husband takes over summer "custody", he's in charge. If you know that something is amiss, like there are problems with the people in MI, then yes, you can interceed in the matter. Otherwise, if everything is fine, let it go. Courtesy would have dictated he tell you beforehand.
