Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Hi, My wife and I were married couple years ago, but I found out she had children in Canada. I met her here and found out she's been living here for about 10 years. About a year or so ago, her brother, whom the children were living with, sent them to her. She had me sign as their guardian since the note indicated they were here on a temporary basis. Since it's been a year now, and the children are now in school here, do I need to do anything to get my name off as the person responsible for them?
