Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

My father has prostate cancer, my mother has a blood clotting condition and is on coumadin. They are elderly and I have been helping them much as I can and hold down a job. I was promoted to another position within the company 4 months ago. The job itself is going well, but my immediate supervisor did not want me for the position and is doing everything possible to make me quit. Yelling at me in front of other employees, etc. pretty much on a daily basis. I cannot afford to quit and have been looking for another job for months but have not found anything. I have lost 25 lbs. since I started this new position. My emune system is down and cannot get rid of my cold. I asked by doctor to give me something for my nerves as I cannot continue to deal with all this. I do not know what else to do. Would I qualify for FMLA? If so what would I need to do.

Probably not, but try to speak with the company. They may allow it. Remember, FMLA does not pay you when you are away from work. It just keeps your position open for when you return.
