Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

I just had major surgery to sraighten my spine I have short term disability through my employer. My question is in regard to FMLA is, does the FMLA start from the time of my surgery or after my short term expires?

FMLA has nothing to do with short term disability. Your FMLA time will typically begin with your first missed day of employment.
