Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

Do I have to use it all at once?

I will be using the FMLA for means of maternity leave as my employer does not otherwise provide it. Do I have to take all 12 weeks at once or can I take a portion of the time, return to work for a period, then take some more time off.

You are allowed to use it over a period of time, or on a interrmittent basis--several days here, several there, etc. Just make sure to provide your emloyer with sufficient advance notice of the days you need off.
