Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

I worked for a company, 8 years, my wife was ill last year. I stayed home one day and he fired me. I got my job back from FMLA. Now a year later, my wife fractured her wrist, was hurting and I did not work overtime one day to be with her and he fired me again. Can I file for FMLA?

I would not think so. A fractured wrist probably is not the type of injury contemplated by FMLA that would entitle you to leave. If you wife gets a cold, that also does not mean, in my judgment, that you can use FMLA to stay home and cook chicken soup.
